Groundcherry Balsamic Jam
This delicious jam is made with our estate-grown Groundcherries, also known as Cape Gooseberries, although they are neither cherries nor gooseberries! The annual plants are of the same family as tomatillos and the fruit is protected by husk-like "capes". They are often seen as garnish on restaurant dessert plates and are delicious, with a taste a little reminiscent of peach and mango. The jam is rare indeed and delicious!
