Northern Kiwi Balsamic Jam
Our wee hardy kiwis (Actinidia arguta) haven't had much fruit since the male died about 15 years ago, but this year had thousands of the grape sized fruit. They are so sweet that very little sugar was required and just a touch of pectin. The mashed fruit is so thick that we added a little of our estate grown grape juice. The jam is amazing with cheese and on various meats, and of course on toast. What a treat!
