this dry, deep rosé vintage of Maranello is composed of two vinifera grape varieties: our Pinot Noir and Zweigelt. Zweigelt, an Austrian grape, is a crossing of St. Laurent with Blaufränkisch, named for the original grower Friedrich Zweigelt. Made by Michelle Schulze with the help of her young son, Connor, who pressed the grapes by foot. 10% alc./vol.
This dark Pinot Noir rosé with racy acidity is named for the town where Ferrari is made, just 11 km from winemaker Giordano’s birthplace.
100% whole clusters were gently crushed by foot, allowed to cold-ferment for a few days, pressed mid-ferment and finished in stainless steel. Bright acidity allows some exceptional food pairings. Wonderful with the Blue Juliette surface-ripened cheese from Salt Spring Cheese Company. 10% alc./vol.
